How to activate xfinity router
I have a Wifi6E capable computer and the xb8 modem/router from Xfinity which is also Wifi6E capable. How do I force the computer to use Wifi6E? When I look at the connected devices under the gateway control page I see it is connected to the 5GHz band. I also checked and my computer is currently running WPA3-Personal so that isn't an issue.You might be able to find a really cheap 802.11b one these days. Easy way is to disable the Ethernet Router's DHCP server, and set DHCP forwarding to your gateway (10.0.0.1). That way requests that connect to the WiFi on your 802.11b router, are handled by your gateway and everything ends up on the same network.
